PT-141 (Bremelanotide) Treatment Consultations in Florida

PT-141, also called bremelanotide, acts on pathways in the brain involved in sexual desire and arousal. Unlike medications that primarily affect blood flow, bremelanotide works through the melanocortin receptor system.

Approved injection, different compounded formulation

The FDA-approved injectable formulation, Vyleesi, is used for certain premenopausal women with acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder that causes distress and is not explained by another condition, medication or relationship concerns. It is not indicated for men, postmenopausal women or sexual performance enhancement.

Compounded PT-141 troches are not FDA-approved. Their safety, absorption, dosing and effectiveness have not been established as equivalent to the approved injection. PT-141 use in men is off-label; compounded troches have not been established as safe or effective for male sexual dysfunction.

What are troches?

Troches are small medicated lozenges designed to dissolve slowly in your mouth, usually under your tongue or between your cheek and gum, according to pharmacy instructions. This offers a needle-free route, but effectiveness cannot be assumed equivalent to the approved injection.

Choosing a strength

The provider determines the appropriate strength, if treatment is prescribed. A 2 mg troche is not automatically more effective than 1 mg, and neither amount should be treated as equivalent to an injection dose.

Subscription & Cancellation Terms

No minimum commitment or cancellation fee for the listed PT-141, sermorelin and tablet tier subscriptions.

All subscription cancellations require at least 7 full calendar days' notice before the next scheduled recurring payment or prescription renewal processing date, whichever occurs first.

Recurring payments and prescription renewals may begin processing before the renewal date. This advance notice allows our office adequate time to stop automatic billing, coordinate with the dispensing pharmacy when applicable, and prevent unnecessary prescription renewals or shipments.

Cancellation requests received fewer than 7 days before the next scheduled renewal may not take effect until the following billing cycle. Payments already processed and prescriptions already submitted to the pharmacy may not be eligible for cancellation or refund, subject to applicable law and the existing refund policy.

Cancellation stops future renewals after the effective cancellation date. Any existing minimum membership commitment remains subject to its agreed terms.

Patients may discontinue a medication for medical reasons at any time. This administrative cancellation policy does not restrict clinical care or medical decision-making.

Subscription questions

Patient Portal

Safety deserves an individual review

The approved injection's labeling describes nausea, vomiting, flushing, headache, temporary increases in blood pressure, decreases in heart rate and skin pigmentation changes. These injection findings do not establish the risk frequency for compounded troches.

The approved injection is contraindicated in people with uncontrolled high blood pressure or known cardiovascular disease. Your provider reviews these concerns, pregnancy or breastfeeding, current medications and any other relevant risks before considering a compounded treatment. No prescription or outcome is guaranteed.
